Amanda Sheffield

Biosketch:

I am PhD candidate in the van den Heever research group and my research interests involve trying to understand the effects of aerosols on cloud physics and cloud dynamics. This includes the investigation of cloud dynamical and microphysical responses of tropical convection (especially congestus in my work) to aerosols, currently with the CSU RAMS model. I have special interests in cumulus congestus clouds, and hope to pursue these topics further through modeling and observational efforts. Outside of graduate work I enjoy spending time with my husband Jesse, cooking, crafting, and, playing in a weekly softball league.
