Mole National Park

Ghana, West Africa, 2007

These are the photos from our trip to Mole National Park in Ghana, West Africa, in February 2007. Generally, I think people advise against going for wildlife photography in the middle of the Harmattan, but we saw plenty of wildlife, and my telephoto got quite a workout.

It's quite thrilling to be so close to those animals - we were certainly close enough to wild elephants that had anything gone wrong, a spatula and a ziploc bag would have been more useful than a first-aid kit - so we acted with the utmost care and respect for these wild creatures.

The photos below contain links to the full-sized images which you may download for making personal prints (email me for any commercial use.) Enjoy!
